Martinique International Film Festival Unveils Award Winners Of Comeback Edition
After a five-year hiatus, the Martinique International Film Festival made its comeback during these past few weeks. "The rebooted Martinique International Film Festival went completely digital this year. It proved to be the best approach for a festival such as ours. No fancy parties or red carpet, just good cinema.", the festival curator Kris De Meester explains, "This allowed us to reach a global audience with our selected films and still keep the carbon footprint to the absolute minimum". About the selection he continued "I was honoured to see so many good entries this year, making the final selection something to be proud of. Because of the digital approach we were also able to select more films than usual. I hope this approach will allow us to select even more new voices for the next edition."
The Martinique International Film Festival is excited to share with you today the winners of the 2023 edition. Out of 50 cinematic gems from around the globe, the jury panel awarded the following films:
